Rebecca (Natalie Portman), a young American woman who has been living in Jerusalem for a few months, has just broken up with her boyfriend. Get into the taxi of Hanna (Hanna Laslo), an Israeli woman who must go to Jordan, to the Free Zone, to collect a large amount of money. When they arrive at their destination, Leila (Hiam Abbass), a Palestinian woman, explains that "the American" is missing and that the money has disappeared. A road-movie in the Middle East; the story of an unexpected encounter, three women from different cultures who will try to join forces to change the course of events.
