Inspired by the French phenomenon of the single class, Being and Having shows the life of a small class in a village throughout an entire year, showing us a warm and serene look at primary education in the heart of the French Landa. A dozen students between 4 and 10 years old, gathered in the same class, are trained in all subjects under the tutorship of a single teacher of extraordinary dedication. Master of calm authority, Professor Georges López leads the boys towards adolescence, mediating between their disputes and listening to their problems.
