- Synopsis
- Esther Blodgett, an ambitious and intelligent small-town girl, arrives in Hollywood. At a party where she works as a waitress, she meets Norman Maine, a famous actor in decline. To Esther's surprise, Norman offers her a part in a movie, and after auditioning, the producer is impressed and decides to make her a star.
