Synopsis
TV miniseries of 10 episodes. Adaptation of the well-known novel by Benito Pérez Galdós. The action takes place between 1865 and 1876. Juan, the only son of the aristocratic Santa Cruz family, meets Fortunata, a girl of humble origins, and a passionate love arises between them. However, Juan's mother decides to marry her son to her niece Jacinta. After the honeymoon, Jacinta, whose main occupation is charity work, begins to worry about not getting pregnant.
