Author

Alfonso Ussía was born in Madrid in 1948. His first article was published in the magazine Saturday Graphic, from where he went on to work for the newspaper ABC. He has also worked in the newspapers Diario 16 and Ya, and in the magazines Las Provincias, Litoral and El Cocodrilo, of which he was director. He has collaborated on several radio and television programs, such as "Protagonistas" and "La Brújula", both on Onda Cero, and "This country needs a review", on Telecinco, with Antonio Mingote, Antonio Ozores, Chumy Chúmez, Luis Sánchez Polack ( Tip) and Miguel Durán as partners. He devised the television series "El marqués de Sotoancho" (2000) and "Puerta con puerta" (1999). At present, he combines his work as a columnist in the newspaper La Razón with his collaboration in the COPE program « Así son las Mañanas », by Ernesto Sáenz de Buruaga. He has received several awards, such as the Mariano de Cavia, the González-Ruano, the Jaime de Foxá and the Baltasar Ibán. He has published countless books throughout his life, among which those that make up his series "Memories of the Marquis of Sotoancho" stand out, which reached number ten with El Diario de Mama, which appeared in Planeta in 2009. Also in Planeta, he has published The three treaties of good manners and Let them go!, with Antonio Mingote.
