Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945) was Minister for Information and Propaganda of the Third Reich between 1933 and 1945. A key figure in the regime, known for his rhetorical gifts and his persuasive capacity, he promoted the purification of cultural environments and the wider dissemination of Nazi myths, becoming one of the Führer's trusted men, for which he named him Chancellor of Germany in his will. He committed suicide one day after Adolf Hitler, on the night of April 30, 1945, with his wife Magda.
