In his hypnotic Grizzly Man, acclaimed director Werner Herzog explores the life and death of Grizzly bear expert Timothy Treadwell who lived among these bears for thirteen years without any weapons and recorded all of his mountain adventures during the last five seasons he was in over there. In Grizzly Man not only the mysteries of the wild nature are shown, but also the mysteries of the nature of the human being, as we see them in Treadwell in the last years of his life in the mountains. Herzog uses the original images that Treadwell had recorded to show his portrait of this complex and imposing figure while exploring larger questions about the difficult relationship between man and nature.
