On June 13, 2016 , Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One S, the first version of the Xbox One mainframe, for release in August 2016 . It features a smaller form factor, with a new white casing, there is also no need for the annoying giant transformer that previous versions included as this comes inside the console and the repositioning of the USB side port button and controller sync directly to the front of the console, and the availability of a support for vertical organization. It supports 4K and Blu-ray Disc video streaming, high dynamic range ( HDR ), and has a 1 terabyte hard drive. The new model no longer includes its own port used to attach the Kinect sensor; a USB adapter, which will be provided free of charge for existing owners, is used instead. The console also comes with a revision of the Xbox One controller, with textured grips and Bluetooth support.
