Synopsis
A police intrigue in the Spain of the "pitch". One hundred million that were fatal. Andrés is a speculator whom many hate. Especially his ex-wives and ex-lovers. When he turns up dead, no one finds the hundred million he had hidden, except a tax consultant and her stuttering friend, who together start the murder investigation.
Author
José María Carrascal (El Vellón, Madrid, 1930) was a merchant seaman, Spanish teacher and translator until he found his true vocation, journalism, to which he has dedicated more than fifty years of a successful professional career. In 1958 he began working in Germany as a correspondent for the newspapers Pueblo and Diario de Barcelona. In 1966 he moved to New York, where he was Pueblo's correspondent for 10 years. He continued in New York as a correspondent for the newspaper ABC, Radio Televisión Española and the radio station Antena 3. In 1989 he returned from the United States and settled again in Spain, where he presented and directed the Noticias de la noche from 1990 to 1998. . He has written articles for the newspaper La Razón and currently writes for ABC. Among the twenty books he has published, the novel Groovy stands out, which won the Nadal prize in 1972 and the City of Barcelona in 1973. His latest published books are El mundo vista a los 80 años (Espasa, 2014) and La historia de España that they did not tell us (Espasa, 2015).
