In the middle of the Mohave desert (USA), the German Jasmine and her husband have a heated argument. She gets out of the car, grabs her suitcase, and arrives at a dirty roadside bar, the Bagdad Cafe, run by a black woman named Brenda. Jasmine settles there and little by little, she makes friends with the regular customers. Among them is a former Hollywood decorator, determined to portray the German. Meanwhile, this one manages to transform the dilapidated local into a very popular place, which is attended by a large clientele every night. (FILMAFFINITY)
