Hardware
The system features an oval shape similar to the design of the first PSP and is the first to have two joysticks, with a five-inch capacitive OLED screen located in the center of the system. It has two analog sticks (one on each side of the screen), one pad, the four classic PlayStation buttons (Triangle, Circle, Cross and Square), two L and R buttons, one PlayStation (Home) button, the Start buttons and Select, Volume +, Volume - and Power. Inside, the system features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor and an SGX543MP4 + graphics processor. The system also comes with a rear touchpad, front camera, rear camera, stereo speakers, microphone, SixAxis motion sensor system (three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer), three-axis electronic compass, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G , and Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR.

The two cameras feature face detection, head detection and head tracking capabilities. It also allows you to customize the system.

PlayStation Vita is available in two versions: one with WiFi and 3G support, and a cheaper version with WiFi but without 3G. The 3G version includes applications preloaded on the console, which use 3G and others as augmented reality.
