Max faces new and important changes in his life: his owner Katie is not only married, but also a mother for the first time. On a family trip to the countryside, he meets a farm dog named Rooster, with whom he learns to master his fears. Meanwhile, Gidget tries to retrieve Max's favorite toy from an apartment full of cats.
