In 1913, Gregorio Valero Contreras and León Sánchez Gascón, friends and neighbors of Osa de La Vega (Cuenca), were arrested as the authors of the death of José María Grimaldos López, a pastor by trade and companion of the former. The town accuses them, even Gregorio's wife gathers evidence against them. The two men confess to the crime after being subjected to torture.
